Walker Street

In November 1990 the Company purchased the former British Gas depot, covering some 2.5 acres, on the outskirts of Preston city centre. All the original buildings were demolished and replaced with a large surface car park comprising 360 spaces.
Recently the car park was completely refurbished. Work was carried out in phases to ensure customers were not inconvenienced. Most of the perimeter walls have been reduced in height and replaced in the most part by metal railings. The surface of the car park has been re-laid and the attendants office relocated to a higher position, exits and entrances have been widened for extra safety and pedestrian routes have been improved. All the works follow guidelines set down in the Secured Car Park Award scheme.
In addition to it's many private users the car park serves the local business community particularly in view of the ever growing student population, Walker Street is extremely close to the University Campus.
